A 4-0 week for Alabama Softball allowed the Crimson Tide to hold steady at No. 4 for the second straight week in the latest national polls, released Tuesday.

Alabama is now 35-7 overall, 8-4 in SEC play, following wins last week over Mississippi Valley State and Mississippi State. Over the week’s four games, the Tide outscored its opponents 37-2 including a pair of run-rule victories on Tuesday against the Devilettes and Saturday against the Bulldogs.

Florida made a quick return to the top spot in the poll following a weekend sweep over Ole Miss with a loss to Nebraska by Michigan in their series opener dropping the Wolverines back to No. 2. The rest of the top seven remains the same from last week’s poll with Washington reentering the top 10 in the NFCA poll and Oklahoma doing so in the USA Softball poll after LSU dropped out following a series sweep at the hands of Kentucky.

Nine SE schools are represented in the top 25 this week, the most of any conference: Florida (1/1), Auburn (3/T2), Alabama (4/4), Georgia, (10/10), LSU (11/13), Kentucky (14/12), Tennessee (15/17), Texas A&M (16/15) and Missouri (18/18). Ole Miss is receiving votes in the USA Softball poll.
