The biggest storyline for Alabama in 2015 - after the team's 16th national championship - was running back Derrick Henry claiming the school's second Heisman Trophy.

His record-breaking season earned him a trip to New York City and the bronze statue, but it also extended the Crimson Tide's streak of three-straight years with a Heisman finalist. In fact, 2015 made it five out of seven years that an Alabama football player earned an invite to the ceremony.

For Nick Saban to keep the streak alive, he'll have to rely on a newcomer or the team's top returning playmaker on the offensive side of the ball.

Bovada released its early odds for the 2016 Heisman Trophy and wide receiver Calvin Ridley is among the 14 players included on the list. The sophomore is currently 11th on the list.

Ridley just wrapped up a sensational freshman season that saw him lead the team with 89 receptions for 1,045 yards and seven touchdowns. He figures to be a big part of Lane Kiffin's offense next season, and the return of Robert Foster (injury), O.J. Howard, and ArDarius Stewart means defenses won't be able to single him out.

This time one year ago, Derrick Henry was in a similar spot in the Heisman conversation. It will be much more difficult for Ridley to shoot up the list considering how much talent is returning to college football in 2016.
