As Alabama dispatched an historic rival in the Tennessee Volunteers to improve to 8-0, the Crimson Tide has their sights on another rival in the Southeastern Conference in the LSU Tigers.

Although the Alabama-LSU series doesn't have the historic significance such as the Iron Bowl or Third Saturday in October, younger generations of fans in the SEC see the matchup between the Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers as one of the most consequential clashes every season in the SEC dating back to Nick Saban's arrival in Tuscaloosa.

The series has produced iconic moments such as Shaun Alexander's school record 291 rushing yards as a freshman in 1996, wide receiver Quincy Jackson catching two deflected passes for touchdowns in 1998, John Parker Wilson's quarterback sneak that broke a five-game losing streak to LSU and A.J. McCarron's screen pass to T.J. Yeldon that preserved the Crimson Tide's national championship in 2012.

Tide 102.9 producer and Samford softball play-by-play voice James Hardy has another highlight montage of Alabama vs. LSU games past to get you ready for game day in Baton Rouge.

Kickoff is at 7 PM Saturday night from Baton Rouge as you can hear Eli Gold, John Parker Wilson, Rashad Johnson, Chris Stewart and the rest of the Crimson Tide Sports Network crew on the call on Tide 102.9/100.9 and the Tide 102.9 app.
