Recruiting service Rivals.com released its first rankings for 2016 and Alabama's three commitments all made the top 100.

Before you take a look at the list of players, keep in mind that all of these guys haven't even played a snap as a high school junior yet. These rankings will give you a good idea on who to keep an eye on, but there will be a number of changes before signing day arrives in 2016.

The highest rated player on Alabama's commitment list thus far is Savannah, Georgia, athlete Demetris Robertson, who checks in at the 5th in the nation.  Recruiting analyst Mike Farrell describes the five-star this way:

Robertson is a great athlete who could play wide receiver or cornerback, but I think his strength is on offense because of his ability to create separation and excellent ball skills. He's a dynamic route runner, very sudden in his cuts and has an extra gear. He can be a dynamic outside or slot receiver at the next level or a big cornerback. His versatility is intriguing.

Next on the list for the Crimson Tide is four-star Louisiana athlete Shyheim Carter. The Kentwood native is the nation's 38th best prospect and the 2nd-highest rated player from the state.

Defensive tackle Benito Jones rounds out the trio of early verbal commitments for Alabama. As the 2nd best player in the state of Mississippi, the four-star is also the 61st overall prospect in the country.

The state of Alabama is home to four of the top 100 players in the class of 2016 with Montgomery's Lyndell Wilson leading the way. The linebacker is ranked 10th overall and one of only 16 players to receive the coveted fifth star.

The other four-star players from in-state include Gordo's Ben Davis, Montgomery's Marlon Davidson, and Phenix City's John Broussard.
