Analyst Brent Beaird Evaluates SEC Basketball and Football Coaching Changes

Coming off their close loss to Tennessee last Saturday, the Crimson Tide showed they are here to compete, especially at home. Defeating another top-25 team at Coleman Coliseum, #20th Ole Miss, 74-53.

Brent Beaird, Analyst for First Coast News, joined Host of "Southern Fried Sports" Travis Reier to evaluate the SEC basketball season thus far and discuss some of the new coaching changes on the football side.

Before diving into the rest of the SEC, Beaird gave his thoughts on Alabama's performance in their win over Ole Miss.

"The blessing and the curse of Alabama basketball right now," Beaird told Reier. "John Petty is maybe settling some of this, you don't know who to cover because at times they didn't really have a real go-to guy. Petty is beginning to step up with that, and really one of the stars last night was Galin Smith."

Switching gears the duo turned their attention to football, discussing some of the new transfer portal entrants. Assessing some of the new coaches in the SEC, and giving their thoughts on how they will preform. Click on the video above to hear the full conversation.
