Avery Johnson's busy week continued on Friday when he appeared on the nationally syndicated Dan Patrick Show to discuss his new position at Alabama.

During the short conversation, Johnson explained how the he ended up in Tuscaloosa, explaining that he met with AD Bill Battle for about five hours before coming to a verbal agreement.

After two questions from Dan Patrick, the show took a call from 'Dave in Texas,' which turned out to be Johnson's former San Antonio Spurs teammate David Robinson. The hall of famer called in to congratulate the coach and even gave a pretty good impersonation of Johnson's distinctive voice.

Robinson and Johnson were teammates on three different occasions in San Antonio, where they were both starters on the 1999 NBA Championship team.
