As a hallmark tradition approaches for Major League Baseball, one of Alabama’s most recent stars continues to make carve out his niche on one of the hottest teams in baseball.

Former Crimson Tide pitcher Jimmy Nelson continued his hot pitching from the mound this week with a pair of victories for the Milwaukee Brewers. Nelson has won his last three starts and has accumulated half his win total this season in his last five starts.

Tuscaloosa native David Robertson also experienced a solid weekend by notching his 13th save of the season after spending most of the week away from the team.

Find out how some of Alabama’s other stars of the past did on the baseball diamond this past week.
