As teams around Major League Baseball gear up for the annual trade deadline, Tuscaloosa’s David Robertson returned to the New York Yankees and saw plenty of work over the weekend.

Although not the team’s closer, Robertson appeared in all three of New York’s contests at Seattle over the weekend. The former White Sox closer allowed only one run on one hit while striking out five Mariners batters in three innings out of the bullpen.

Staying in the AL East, Tommy Hunter continues his solid work out of the bullpen for Tampa Bay. The former Alabama pitcher fanned five batters in 3.1 scoreless innings of work against Oakland and Texas. Hunter has not surrendered a run in his last 11.1 innings pitched.

Find out how the rest of Alabama’s products on MLB rosters fared this past week.
