A veteran of the Alabama football scene, senior analyst for BamaOnLine.com Travis Reier reviewed the overnight arrests of Alabama football players Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones.

Reier discussed the environment that many college athletes experience back home, how the type of mistakes reported in the Robinson and Jones case can affect the futures of promising college athletes and the ramifications that the arrests of Robinson and Jones could have on Alabama’s upcoming season.

According to the veteran Alabama football analyst, Hootie Jones is a candidate as a back-up for Ronnie Harrison and Eddie Jackson in the secondary, but finding a possible replacement for Cam Robinson could be a lot more complicated.

“With Robinson, they don’t really have right now another true left tackle type and probably the closest thing they have to it is a true freshman in Jonah Williams.” Reier said.
