You can help Beat Auburn Beat Hunger and save big on your ticket to Bama's next basketball game! The annual food drive has partnered with the Alabama Men's Basketball team to offer a reduced admission rate for those who bring canned food items--you'll be able to purchase a ticket to see the Tide take on the Faulkner University Eagles at Coleman Coliseum Thursday night for only $3.

Beat Auburn Beat Hunger is a tradition in T-Town; every year the food drive seeks to collect items for the West Alabama Food Bank before the holiday season, a time when the need is most dire. It's also a competition with Auburn University--they solicit donations for the Beat Bama Food Drive.

It's a fun way to encourage the fan base of each school to help out--and while it's important that Alabama wins every year, Courtney Charland, Executive Director for Beat Auburn Beat Hunger, says a W for the Tide is even more critical in 2016.

"Unfortunately, last year we suffered a loss to their campaign as they were able to bring in more pounds of food than we did. This year, we are hoping to bring the W back to the University of Alabama. The end of our campaign is only two weeks away, and our reported numbers are already much lower than Auburn's. We would greatly appreciate any and all support you can offer us in our efforts to reach our goal of 140,000 pounds for the West Alabama Food Bank by November 16."

Thursday's basketball game is one of many events the Beat Auburn Beat Hunger team has planned; check out their calendar HERE.
