With about one week until the annual A-Day Game, Alabama football is gearing up for their second scrimmage of the spring.

To close out the week on The Gary Harris Show, Tidesports.com's Ben Jones provided his preview of what to expect in tomorrow's scrimmage.

When asked about what has caught his eye this spring, Jones pointed to the talent and experience returning in the secondary as a positive. Although the front seven including the inside the linebackers are a concern for Jones, he does not see this coaching staff having to a do a total rebuilding job for 2019.

"I don't think that when people talk about having to kind of reconstruct the defense this year, it's a total rebuild like some people are making it out to be." Jones said.

Earlier in spring practice, head coach Nick Saban mentioned a timetable of linebacker Terrell Lewis's return to competition. According to Tidesports.com's Alabama football beat writer, Lewis is someone the Crimson Tide needs to have on the field.

"I think it's a really big deal. He's a guy that people have talked about probably since the start of his sophomore year before he got hurt against Florida State. People have looked at him and said, 'That's a guy who has first round NFL Draft potential.' He has the size. He has the length. He has the strength and the speed and the agility." Jones said.

Later in the conversation, Jones talks about Tua as the veteran presence at quarterback, Alabama's tight end situation and how Jalen Hurts will do at Oklahoma.
