When you're the World Series MVP, you can expect people to want your autograph. When you're the World Series MVP for a team that hasn't won it all in over a century, you can expect an entire city to show up at your doorstep to get your autograph.

Ben Zobrist, who knocked in the go-ahead run in deciding Game 7 en route to winning MVP honors and helping the Cubs defeat the Indians for the franchise's first Fall Classic victory since 1908, took some time -- no, make that a lot of time -- to sign his autograph for people outside his home near Wrigley Field on Thursday.

As good as he was on the field, that's how quality Zobrist is off it. "We just won the World Series," he said. "Of course I'm gonna sign your autographs."

Zobrist, who won a World Series last year with the Royals, spent hours outside before calling it a night and thanking all the fans for their support. Hopefully, he got some sleep and woke up happy to learn that he may actually have bumped Michael Jordan as the biggest star in Chicago sports.

Zobrist certainly answered the prayers of baseball fans in the city and at least one church is reminding them that it's time to remember that.
