On Friday, former Tide quarterback Blake Sims was on with Ryan Fowler in "The Game" to discuss how he is preparing for the NFL Draft and the football camp that he hosted on Saturday at American Christian Academy in Tuscaloosa.

Before the season started last year, Fowler was one of the many doubters of Sims. He wasn't proven, he didn't possess the NFL caliber arm strength or accuracy. And even throughout the season, many people still doubted his abilities.

However, Sims fed off the negative vibes and set the single season record for passing yards in Alabama football history.

"It motivated me... Everybody has their own opinion... I was looking to try to control what I can control, and try to be the best quarterback I can be that day."

Sims is not projected to be selected in the 2015 NFL Draft, but the last time he was expected to perform poorly, he had arguably the best statistical season at the quarterback position in Alabama history.
