Inside a packed Bill Harris Arena. The Yellow Jackets came out as the more aggressive team as they used their physicality and length against a much smaller Stampede team. The score doesn't reflect the game flow. McAdory led by one in the first quarter, and it felt like they were going to pull away once they went on a 12-0 run.

However, Bryant went on a 16-2 run of their own once head coach Shon Peck-Love called a timeout to settle his team down. The Stampede took the lead going into halftime.

The third quarter was the best for Bryant, as they outscored McAdory 16-8. In the fourth quarter, both squads were going back and forth, and the referees weren't letting them play it out for the most part before starting to call fouls.

The Stampede would try to be a little conservative and run some clock once they got up by four; however, when it was time to make free throws late, that's when the game was slipping away. Whitted scored the final seven points for the Yellow Jackets. Javion Williams went to the free throw line twice in the fourth and made two of four, then Eric Grant went one for two on his free throws to put his team up by three.

McAdory decided to feed their 6-foot-8 big man late in the game as he was guarded by Perkins, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 175 pounds to Whitted's 220.

With less than 24 seconds left in the game, Wooley was fouled on an inbound play and sent to the line. Wooley went one for two, and McAdory got the rebound. With four seconds left, McAdory ran a play for Whitted in the paint, and the Yellow Jacket big man made it to tie the game up with 0.3 seconds left in the game and was fouled on the play. Whitted made the free throw to send McAdory to the Elite Eight and end Paul Bryant's season.
