With the attention of most of the college football world going towards Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh and his satellite camps, Alabama head football coach Nick Saban continues to work the recruiting trail.

Crimson Cover recruiting analyst Mike Parker updated the latest recruiting news on Alabama’s 2017 signing class during his appearance on The Gary Harris Show.

With the legal issues surrounding Cam Robinson and the departure of Charles Baldwin, the Crimson Tide received the commitment of offensive tackle Elliot Baker from the City College of San Francisco. He is regarded as one of the top junior college offensive tackles in the country by various recruiting services. According to Mike Parker, Baker’s commitment is big for Alabama.

“This is a huge get for Alabama. You can never have too many tackles and if he’s not the top tackle in the country, he’s one of them.” Parker said.

The Crimson Cover recruiting analyst further highlighted Baker's potential impact on the Crimson Tide.

“One thing can be for sure, you can never have enough tackles, and this is going to help with depth. He could be an immediate impact player enrolling in January.” Parker said.

Parker recapped other Crimson Tide recruits including the recent commitment of quarterback Matt Jones from Jacksonville, Florida.

The Gary Harris Show airs each weekday from 9-11 AM on Tide 99.1 and the radioPup app.
