Alabama held their annual Pro Day on Wednesday afternoon with representatives from every NFL team looking on, and one player that had a lot to prove after a poor NFL Combine performance was left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio. His participation came as a surprise after it was reported that he would not participate until Alabama's second pro day on April 8th.

Kouandjio has worked to stay in better shape, and weighed in at 311 pounds which was 11 pounds lighter than he weighed at the combine. Along with slimming down, he felt much more comfortable in Alabama's indoor practice facility, and didn't feel nervous coming into the day.

"I feel a lot better," Kouandjio said. "This is my home and I felt at ease. No sense of nervousness at all. I just went out there and did what I was born to do."

Media reports surfaced saying that Kouandjio had a knee injury which contributed to his poor combine performance and also lead to a rumor that he had failed team physicals. Kouandjio has not been rattled by the report.

"I'm not the type of person to get frustrated over things that I cannot control. I mean all these coaches know that nothing is wrong with my knee. I've played two years and the fourth month after my knee surgery I was out there playing until now. I have not missed a practice or a game because of my knee."

He says that he has found no truth to the report that he failed a physical.

"From what I heard, from [the media], six teams failed me, but my agent said nobody failed me."

Kouandjio is confident that an NFL team will see his true talent as a left tackle despite knee injury rumors.

"My goal is to find one team out there that understands my potential and sees my skill set and takes advantage of that."

He has also not let rumors ruin his confidence. When asked if he believed that he was the best left tackle available in the NFL Draft he said, "I believe so yeah."

Kouandjio also was a guest on The Game on Wednesday night to give more insight on what he thought of his own performance at pro day and to announce when he planned on doing more drills for NFL scouts.

"I think I performed well," Kouandjio told host Ryan Fowler. "I wanted to show the scouts and the coaches the way I move and my footwork. I wanted to show them I was a good football player so I only did the offensive line drills. I am waiting till April 8th to the time drills like the forty, shuttle, and stuff like that. My plan is to show dramatic improvement from the combine to April 8th. I think I have a pretty good chance at doing that."
