The annual rite of passage for the SEC from Spring to Fall takes place geographically in the heart of the conference every July. As thousands of players, coaches, media, and fans descend upon the hotel formerly known as The Wynfrey, along with it comes the official kickoff to the new college football season with the start of SEC Media Days.

Commissioner Mike Slive will open the event at 12:30pm CT as a metaphorical ring leader to the circus that has become Media Days. From a lobby full of rabid autograph seekers to a never-ending 'Radio Row' to hordes of media members, this event has achieved absurd levels matched in the offseason only by Signing Day.

Once Slive steps away from the podium, it'll be non-stop SEC football discussion, speculation, innuendo, prognostication, coach-speak, Q&A, and overall overkill for anyone but the most ardent college football fan. But the sport seeks hydration after exiting the desert that is the last couple of months.

So what can you expect for day one of SEC Media Days? Here's the schedule for Tuesday:

12:30 p.m. (all times CT): Commissioner Mike Slive

1-3:40 p.m.: Florida
Head coach Will Muschamp
QB Jeff Driskel
DL Dominique Easley
OL Jon Halapio

1-3:40 p.m.: Missouri
Head coach Gary Pinkel
QB James Franklin
WR L'Damian Washington
LB Andrew Wilson

3:50-6:20 p.m.: Ole Miss
Head coach Hugh Freeze
WR Donte Moncrief
LB Mike Marry
QB Bo Wallace

3:50-6:20 p.m.: South Carolina
Head coach Steve Spurrier
DE Jadeveon Clowney
WR/KR Bruce Ellington
QB Connor Shaw

As you can see by the lineup, the shortest day of this event might be the most quotable. Florida head coach Will Muschamp will be addressing the outlook of an offense that throttled any chances of a championship a year ago.

Missouri might come in a bit more humbled to begin its second year in the conference.

Ole Miss enters with a bit of optimism following a competitive 2012 and one of the top recruiting classes in the country. QB Bo Wallace will have a chip on his shoulder as he enters the media room as well judging by this tweet.

And finally you have the Ol' Ball Coach, Steve Spurrier. There's no question you'll want to veteran as he will drop a number of hilarious comments on the media through his press conference. I'd also expect him to take a few shots at the lack of strength on Alabama's schedule.

Of course, you can follow everything from Birmingham on the SEC's Official Site, watch College Football Live as it broadcasts from the event for the first time, or keep an eye on our Twitter feed as we drop nuggets throughout the day.
