Details of Kenyan Drake’s Rookie Contract with the Miami Dolphins
Running back Kenyan Drake became the final Alabama draftee to lock up his rookie contract when he signed with the Dolphins in June.
The third-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft inked the deal during the team's three-day minicamp last month and shared a picture of the moment on Twitter.
The total contract is worth nearly $3.4 million over four years, including a signing bonus of $821,260. His yearly salary will increase from $450,000 this fall to $810,000 in 2019.
On the same day that Drake signed the contract, he actually had to leave practice after suffering a minor hamstring injury during a special teams drill. He missed the final day of minicamp, but said he'll be ready to go for training camp.
All seven Crimson Tide draft picks were taken in the first three rounds and will earn a combined $39,211,515 over the next four seasons.
