The 2019 college football season is inching closer to reality as we're 47 days away from Florida and Miami beginning the season in Orlando and 54 days away from Alabama facing Duke.

The return of talented stars such as Tua Tagovailoa, Najee Harris, DeVonta Smith, Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs, II have the crimson and white faithful optimistic about making the trip to New Orleans for a shot at the national championship game.

To kickoff the week, former Alabama fullback Martin Houston brought on Pastor Randy Fuller as his second guest host in the ongoing Live the Dream contest on The Blitz.

During the second segment of Monday's program, the duo examined a cause of concern from 2018 that might have an impact on the upcoming season, developing depth.

In his thoughts on the topic, Fuller discussed how the failure to utilize the talent on the bench over the course of the season contributed to the loss, why Saban doesn't always go deep into his bench and how keeping your first string players fresh keeps them playing fast.

Check out what else Houston and Fuller had to say on the topic during Monday's show.

Kickoff your morning with The Blitz every weekday from 6-7 AM on Tide 102.9/100.9 and the Tide 102.9 app.
