Director of Scouting for CBS Sports and 247Sports, Barton Simmons, joined Host of Southern Fried Sports Travis Reier Monday morning to go around the world of college football.

One of the topics discussed was Les Miles becoming the new head coach of the Kansas Jayhawks. Simmons believes that fans sometimes want something new and shiny, instead of the old proven thing.

"I think it was really the right fit for Les," Simmons said. "I think it was the best job that Les could get. Maybe there is an athletic director that thinks otherwise and wanted him."

The duo continued the conversation by diving into the possibility of Florida Atlantic's head coach Lane Kiffin making a return to the power five before the end of his coaching career.

"I'm not sure I'm a believer," Simmons replied. "He lost both of his coordinators this year, so maybe you can make some excuses, but Kiffin can make a class. He can recruit, he can create energy, momentum and buzz around a program; but Have we seen Kiffin sustain anything yet, ever?"

Before closing the interview, Reier asked Simmons for his quarterback choice, between Tua Tagovailoa and Kyler Murray, if could build a college football offense from scratch. The answer may surprise you.
