Jalen Hurts has been wowing a lot of folks since he arrived on the campus of the University of Alabama, and ESPN.com's Chris Low had a chance to hang out inside the athletic department to get the inside scoop on the team, and he too has been impressed with Hurts.

If we've talked about the Alabama quarterback situation once, we've talked about it a thousand times. Will veteran Cooper Bateman win the job, or will it be one of the young pups (e.g. Jalen Hurts and Blake Barnett)?

Low had the opportunity to discuss everything about the program with Aaron Suttles when he got an inside look with the football team, hanging out with Lane Kiffin in the film room and whatnot. His relationship with Nick Saban is one of the closest ones that the head coach has with any member of the media has allowed him to write quite a few all-access articles explaining how the Alabama football program is run under the watchful eye of Saban, including his most recent one he published on August 18.

One of the most intriguing things he mentioned during his conversation with Suttles is what he thinks about true freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts.

"I really like the Hurts kid, I think he gives them a different dimension... I'm not going to predict whether he starts the first game or the third or fifth game, but I bet he plays."

You can hear the context of his answer below and also hear the entire interview in our podcast center. The Suttles Approach airs each weekday from 12-2 PM.
