Former Alabama head coach Gene Stallings suffered a minor stroke on Monday morning while awaiting a flight in Dallas.

His friend and former Auburn head coach Pat Dye confirmed the news on Twitter earlier today.

Stallings was traveling from Dallas-Fort Worth to Huntsville for an event with The Legendary Coaches when he suffered the stroke and was taken to the hospital. According to the event's Facebook page, Stallings was in good spirits following the scare.

This is the second stroke in four months for Stallings. He was in Montgomery for a banquet in May when he began feeling ill. He later went to the hospital and it was determined that he had suffered a stroke.

Last month, Stallings came on 'The Game' to spend some time talking with former Crimson Tide fullback Martin Houston about his recovery.
