The University of Georgia has added a bit more Alabama flavor to its coaching staff after naming Lance Taylor the new wide receivers coach on Mark Richt's staff.

Taylor, who will move across the country after spending one season as the running backs coach at Stanford, both played and coached for the Crimson Tide. The 34-year-old walked for Mike Dubose in 1999 and played in 38 consecutive games before finishing his career in 2003.

Taylor began his coaching career as a graduate assistant on Nick Saban's staff from 2007-08. During that short period on the Alabama coaching staff, Taylor worked with current Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, who was director of player personnel at the time.

It's been a busy coaching climb for Alabama alum. Since departing Saban's staff, he's coached at Appalachian State, the New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, and Stanford before landing back in the SEC.
