Former MLB Coach Ron Jackson to Instruct Free Baseball Camps at Barnes YMCA

According to an email from the Benjamin Barnes YMCA, former Stillman College Baseball Coach and Randle Jennings and former Boston Red Sox and Willie Mays League of Birmingham Coach Ron Jackson will serve as instructors for a free Youth Baseball Camp for coaches from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19 and for players and coaches from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20.

Jennings is currently the Chairperson for Willie Mays League of Birmingham "Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities." Jackson actually led the Willie Mays Youth Baseball team to the 2014 championship of the Junior RBI Classic following a career with both Major League Baseball and minor league baseball.

The Barnes YMCA works diligently to provide services not only for its members but also for the community to enjoy. With Spring on the horizon, baseball season won't be far behind.
