A crucial aspect for a program to win consistently is the ability to recruit great players.

Former SEC assistant coach and Inside the Locker Room contributor Max Howell provided his thoughts on the changes he’s seen in recruiting since his days as an assistant coach.

Howell also touched on how one traditional powerhouse has seen a drop off in talent and wins since his coaching days.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers won three national titles in the mid-1990s but have not been a player on the national level for over a decade.

The former SEC assistant pointed to their decision to join the Big 10, issues in the athletic department and a talent drop-off as factors for Nebraska’s decline.
