Golden Nugget Makes Alabama an Underdog in Two Games This Season

No team in college football has been as popular with oddsmakers than Alabama in recent years. The only time the Crimson Tide entered a game as an underdog in Vegas was last year's trip to Georgia, and Alabama answered with a 38-10 blowout in Athens.

But oddsmakers either aren't as confident in Nick Saban's team heading into 2016. Despite being the favorite to win the national championship, the Golden Nugget released odds for the biggest games this fall and Alabama finds itself an underdog in two games. You'd have to go back 83 games to find the last two times the team wasn't the favorite.

So which teams are giving points to Alabama right now? Tennessee (-1) and LSU (-2.5). Those are two of the difficult road games facing the Crimson Tide in 2016, but Saban has won a combined 14 games straight against the Vols and Tigers. Maybe Vegas thinks those two schools are due?
