The Alabama Crimson Tide headlined day three of SEC Media Days and Nick Saban took the podium first to start the day.

Saban spent nearly 30 minutes total in front of the main media room. He opened with an update on the team and his assessment of his personnel a month out from fall camp.

Here are some of the topics he hit during the press conference, all of which you can see in the video at the top of the page:

  • This is the youngest team he's had at Alabama since 2012, especially on defense.
  • Brian Daboll has done a great job so far and the players have really taken to him.
  • Players have progressed well so far this summer.
  • Inside linebacker might be the position with the most depth this year. Saban thinks Mack Wilson has made a lot of progress and could even become a rush guy.
  • Saban gave his thoughts on the newest rule changes adopted by the SEC this year.
  • He provides as much access as possible for NFL personnel so his players can make the best decision for their career.

We'll have more coverage all day on Tide 102.9, online, and on YouTube.
