Chris Hummer, national college football writer for 247Sports.com, joined Host of Southern Fried Sports Travis Reier Monday morning to provide his reaction to the Heisman Trophy being awarded to Kyler Murray over Tua Tagovailoa.

"I thought Kyler would win," Hummer told Host Travis Reier. "I think Tua struggling down the stretch hurt him."

Hummer thought it was ridiculous that the Heisman voters considered the conference championship games a major deciding factor in the voting process.

"Tua was brilliant all season long," Hummer said. "You really shouldn't hold an injury against somebody for their Heisman candidacy, especially when they excelled the rest of the year outside of that."

The duo also discussed the upcoming match-up between Alabama and Oklahoma in the first round of the college football playoffs.

"What Lincoln Riley does well," Hummer said. "He essentially disguises plays in a way that he always finds a way to get somebody very open. He uses rpo's extraordinarily well."
