PELL CITY, Ala….The Tuscaloosa County High Wildcats picked up some momentum heading into the playoffs with a 34-14 win over the Pell City Panthers Friday night.

County High set the tone on the first drive marching into Panther territory as Emiliano Ramirez connected from 24 yards to put the Wildcats on top 3-0 early in the first quarter. After the first drive stalled, County High showed their offensive firepower as Tyler Gates found Allen Cooks on the quick pass, in which Cooks scampered for the 59 yard score.

With a ten point lead heading into the third quarter the Wildcats gave themselves some breathing room as Gates found Tylan Perry for a 15 yard touchdown reception. Perry, then found the endzone for the second time later in the quarter, this time via an 11 yard touchdown run to keep the Wildcats in control, putting the score at 24-7.

The Wildcats cap of their 2012 regular season with an 8-2 record, while Pell City falls to 6-4. County High will open up post season play next week at Wildcat Alumni Stadium against Gardendale with coverage being carried on 99.1 WDGM beginning at 6:45 pm on Friday, November 9th.
