The Alabama ex-player ranks are dwindling in the NFL playoffs following last weekend's results. However, there is still a chance for a Super Bowl involving at least one active Alabama alum on each team.

For that to happen, the Ravens will need to beat the Chiefs and Baltimore cornerback Marlon Humphrey's calf will half to heal up. Both are possible. Humphrey's teammate who is injured, Jalyn Armour-Davis, would get a ring if the Ravens win it all.

The Chiefs do have Isaiah Buggs on Injured Reserves, and he'd get a ring if KC wins it all, but aren't you about tired of being forced to be an honorary "Swiftie?"

Yeah, me too.

Injured running back Damien Harris' ring chances died with the Bills season, for what that's worth.

In the NFC, San Francisco will be at home and favored to beat Detroit. The Niners have only one Bama connection, but tight end Cam Latu is on IR. The Lions have plenty of Tidings, though.

In Detroit's exciting win over Bama-less Tampa, Jahmyr Gibbs, Brian Branch and Jameson Williams all played roles in the victory.

To wit:

Brian Branch, DB – 9 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 sack, 1 QB hit
Jahmyr Gibbs, RB – 9 carries, 74 yards, 1 TD (31 yards); 4 catches, 40 yards
Jameson Williams, WR – 2 catches, 35 yards

Those three will all need to be at the top of their games for the Lions to upset the Niners.

Houston's season ended in a tough way at the hands of Baltimore, but the Tide contingent on the Texans had mixed results:

Will Anderson Jr., DE – 1 tackle, 1 TFL, 1 QB hit
Christian Harris, LB – 7 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 QB hit
Kareem Jackson, S – Did not play
John Metchie III, WR – Played but no stats
Henry To’oTo’o, LB – 3 tackles
