The Muscle Shoals native continues to make history for Alabama. Sears has been with the Crimson Tide for two seasons but became a focal point of the lineup this season.

Sears has 22 games of scoring 20 points or more, second in the history of the University of Alabama, and one off the record.

Sears is averaging 21.1 points per game, 4 rebounds per game, and 4.1 assists per game. He's shooting 50.4% from the field and 43.1% from the three-point line. Sears has been a staple of Alabama's offense this season and has often kept Alabama in games that looked to be out of reach.

Sears is actually playing better on the road than he does at home, averaging 23.2 points and shooting 45.1% from three on the road, versus 19.5 points per game and 41.3% from three when playing at Coleman Coliseum.

Sears continues to be rewarded for his efforts on the court this season, with the Associated Press naming him a second-team All-American.

For Alabama, maybe it's good that they are playing in Spokane, Washington for the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. The Crimson Tide will match up against the College of Charleston at 6:35 p.m. CT on Friday, March 22. The game will air on TruTV. Alabama is a 9.5-point favorite.
