Every week, college football learns more about just how good the Alabama defense is in 2016.

The shutout of LSU earned the starting 11 the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week award, which hasn't happened in 12 years. Some people are calling this defense the best ever under head coach Nick Saban, but defensive back Marlon Humphrey isn't ready to stake that claim.

"I don't know best ever. I know we're pretty good," Humphrey said. "We all just try to do our job."

One driving force behind the Crimson Tide's success on defense is the hate they play with. Saban made the comment during a press conference this week, and Humphrey said he sees it in the defensive front.

"On the field I try to be a little hateful I guess. I know that front seven is very hateful. I usually just try to hold my own back there."

Alabama returns home on Saturday to host Mississippi State at 11AM.
