Alabama's 2016 signing class took a hit on Monday when it was reported that massive defensive tackle Kendell Jones enroll in Tuscaloosa this year.

The 6-foot-5, 375-pound prospect did not qualify academically per SEC Country and already began junior college classes. Once he finishes JUCO, his recruitment will reopen again.

Jones earned the nickname 'Hulk' due to his massive size and strength. As a high school prospect, recruiting services rated him a four-star and top-100 nationally. He picked Alabama over his homestate Texas Longhorns.

The Crimson Tide currently has two defensive lineman enrolled with the class of 2016. Along with Jones, JUCO transfer defensive end Jamar King is still working to improve his grades and hasn't joined Alabama yet. If he doesn't make it in, that would make the defensive line a position of need in future recruiting classes.
