Some rare cold weather is moving into Tuscaloosa the next two nights and it's forced the midweek Alabama baseball games to change start times.

The Crimson Tide will play Eastern Illinois on Tuesday and Samford on Wednesday. Both of those games had been scheduled for a 6PM first pitch but that has been moved to 3PM to avoid the cold weather. It might seem like an overreaction to some chilly weather, but the National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a freeze warning for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Alabama enters the week having won six of seven games and will look to extend that streak against an Eastern Illinois team that brings a 1-13 record to town.

Wednesday night's matchup with Samford marks the 104th meeting between the two in-state programs. Alabama leads the series with a 90-13 overall record.

Both baseball games can be heard on Tide 102.9 and 100.9 FM in Tuscaloosa.
