It looked like a play straight out of the movie Bull Durham.

During a recent Triple-A game in Rhode Island, a Durham Bulls' base runner attempted to steal third while a right-handed hitter was at bat. That hitter, Luke Maile, decided to stand his ground in the batter's box so the Pawtucket Red Sox catcher threw the ball right into his gut.

Maile collapsed immediately while the catcher, Humberto Quintero, looked to the home plate umpire to make an interference call. It doesn't appear like he got his way because his manager heads out to the umpire.

We don't know how the game ended, but with Maile also being a catcher, there's a good chance he'll talk to one of his pitchers about getting a little revenge.
