Although the Mississippi State Bulldogs have experienced a topsy-turvy 2016 season, they reeled off a 35-28 upset of No. 4 Texas A&M in their most recent game.

The Bulldogs make the short trip over to Tuscaloosa Saturday for an 11 AM kickoff from Bryant-Denny Stadium.

WTOK-TV sports director Lindsey Hall dissected Mississippi State’s season and their chances of shocking top ranked Alabama on The Gary Harris Show.

While Mississippi State has suffered a down season, Hall pointed to Texas A&M’s loss to the Bulldogs as an attention grabber for Alabama.

“Normally if you get an upset like this one, it’s going to be some fluke plays here or there, but State absolutely dominated this ballgame with Texas A&M. At least, if anything, that gets Alabama’s attention.” Hall said.

The veteran Mississippi sportscaster analyzed the chances of an Alabama let down against the Bulldogs but reminded the audience of Mississippi State’s body of work this season.

“As good as State looked last week, it’s still the same team that got beat by South Alabama, that Auburn ran out of the stadium, that’s given up a ton of yards and points.” Hall said.
