Mom Returns from Military to Surprise Alabama RB During Senior Day Presentation

One of the greatest highlights from the 2016 Iron Bowl didn't involve anything that happened during the 60 minutes of play. It took place before Alabama and Auburn kicked off. 

The University of Alabama was honoring all of its seniors prior to the start of their final home game at Bryant-Denny Stadium, which is an annual tradition. When Nick Saban got to running back Lawrence Erekosima, the South Carolina native had no idea that his mom was in the stadium.

As the family got ready to pose for a photo, Erekosima's mother, Jacqueline Page, came running out for an emotional reunion.

The walk-on said after that he almost cried but managed to hold it in. His mother has served in the Army for over 12 years and was able to come home early from Kuwait to see her son's final home game.
