Alabama head coach Nick Saban held his weekly press conference on Monday afternoon at the Mal Moore Athletic Complex to talk about his team's preparations for Saturday's game with No. 4 LSU.

Saban said his team took to some time away from game preparations to refocus on the task at hand and work on playing its best football moving forward. That starts with a season-defining game with the last undefeated team in the SEC.

"We've had some great games with LSU through the years," Saban said. "This has turned out to be a great rivalry, and I think it's a great rivalry because of the quality of the programs. I think six or seven times since we've been here both teams have been ranked in the top 10.

"That's obviously a credit to the great job that Les Miles has done there in the 11 years that he's been there."

On the injury front, safety Eddie Jackson appears to be ready to go this weekend, while safety Ronnie Harrison and offensive lineman Dominick Jackson will go through drills and be re-evaluated later in the week.

Alabama starts its preparations for LSU on Monday as it returns to a normal schedule following the bye week.
