In an unmatched age of parity in the sport of football, the University of Alabama has set a standard of an excellence that might never be matched again. Just three weeks after winning the school's fourth national championship in seven years, Nick Saban has reeled in another top-ranked recruiting class.

Despite starting the day ranked between 7th and 12th in recruiting, Alabama slammed its fist down on the rest of college football and closed out its seventh-consecutive recruiting title. While 2016 wasn't unanimously No. 1 across the board, 247Sports, Rivals, and Scout all ranked the Crimson Tide's 25 signees the best class in the country. Only ESPN kept Alabama out of the top spot, and even it had Saban's class ranked second.

The day was headlined by three 5-stars - Gordo's Ben Davis, Carver's Mack Wilson, and Maryland's Terrell Hall - who all committed within two hours of each other on Wednesday afternoon. It was the final push that Alabama needed to jump Florida State, LSU, Ole Miss, and Ohio State in the rankings.

The Crimson Tide will soon turn its focus to spring practice, where eight early enrollees will get go through their first full set of practices. That will conclude with the 2016 A-Day Game on April 16.
