Alabama found its replacement at offensive coordinator this week when it announced the hiring of Brian Daboll from the New England Patriots.

The Super Bowl-winning tight ends coach spent the past four seasons under Bill Belichick, and now he'll join Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa. After spending the past 16 years in the NFL, Daboll is a bit of an unknown to many college football fans.

That's why The Game invited Patriots beat writer Jim McBride to join the show and give listeners some background on Daboll.

"He's a very high energy, very smart guy, very adaptable guy," McBride told host Ryan Fowler. "He'll use every weapon he has on that roster, and he'll get the most out of them.

The question fans have been asking all week is what style of offense will we see in Tuscaloosa? McBride told us what he would expect from Daboll.

"I think he is kind of a run-first kind of guy, but if he's got the talent on the outside or in the slot, he's going to use those guys, too."

You can hear the entire conversation with McBride in the video above.
