Reaction to Alabama’s 66-60 Loss to Auburn

Despite building a 13-point lead in the second half, Alabama fell for the second time this season 66-60 to the Auburn Tigers.

Going into today, Joe Lunardi and Jerry Palm still have the Crimson Tide in their projected brackets for the NCAA Tournament.

Regardless of how the season plays out, concern continues to build for the state of Alabama basketball. Since Wimp Sanderson's departure in 1992, the program has made just nine NCAA Tournament appearances in 27 years including Johnson's first appearance last season.

Closer to home, Auburn has swept Alabama in the two regular season games in two of the past three seasons and Bruce Pearl has a 6-3 advantage in the series over Avery Johnson.

Following the game, former Alabama fullback Martin Houston and Gary Harris provided their takes on the state of the program and taking listener reaction on The Blitz and The Gary Harris Show.

Both of the hosts looked at the chronic tendencies affecting this year's team including woeful second half finishes, not taking care of the ball,  the overall lack of energy at key times in games and the financial investment being made in Avery Johnson.
