Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart could be coaching his final game at Alabama on Saturday in the SEC Championship. Although players haven't met with the media since the news broke about Georgia on Tuesday night, Reggie Ragland was asked about Smart on Monday.

The linebacker, who has played under Smart for four years, thinks the focus is still on this next game.

"I think he'll do good but I know he's not worried about that right now," Ragland said. "I know he's going to worry about, and when the time comes for him to worry about that, I know he's going to do a great job."

There isn't an official announcement made, but many believe that could come as soon as Sunday. When Smart does depart for Athens, he'll be taking with him a passionate coaching style that has been adopted by his teams at Alabama.

"The defense takes the emotion of the coordinator," Ragland said. "Coach Smart is all over the place at times. What I mean by all over the place is he's everywhere, he sees everything. He's always on us about the little things."

There will be a number of candidates lined up for the chance to run Nick Saban's defense, but there's no question that Smart's presence on Alabama's staff will be missed. Just how much?

"I don't know because I'm leaving too after this year," Ragland joked.
