Avery Johnson has added experience on his Alabama coaching staff after one year in Tuscaloosa.

According to reports, the Crimson Tide will bring on former Arkansas head coach John Pelphrey to replace assistant Scott Pospichal. Pelphrey led the Razorbacks to a 69-59 record over four seasons before being dismissed by the school. Prior to that, he went 80-67 during his five years as the South Alabama head coach.

The former captain at Kentucky spent his last five seasons coaching as an assistant at Florida under Billy Donovan. Last year he worked as an analyst for the SEC Network.

We're just one month into the offseason but it has been busy for Alabama basketball. Along with this coaching change, the Johnson has lost guard Justin Coleman and forward Michael Kessens to transfer. The coaching staff will likely add a couple more players before next season.
