For the second game in a row the Alabama men's basketball team will likely be without two of their best guards.  As the Tide prepare for another SEC road test against Mississippi State, guard Retin Obasohan was listed as "doubtful" by head coach Anthony Grant.  Obasohan is still dealing with an infection in his hand.  He joins junior guard Ricky Tarrant on the injured list.  Tarrant has missed the last few games with an undisclosed leg injury and is listed as being out "indefinitely".  Furthermore, sophomore forward Michael Kessens suffered an ankle injury against LSU and is listed as a game-time decision.

These injuries mean Alabama will again be shorthanded when they travel to Starkville to take on traditional rival Mississippi State.  At 14-9, the Tide have been reeling since the start of conference play.  A win against the Bulldogs is greatly needed if the Tide wish to right the ship as they enter the home stretch if the season.  Alabama plays Mississippi State tomorrow, Tuesday, February 10th at 8 pm CT.  The game will be covered on the SEC Network and the Crimson Tide Sports Network.

Anthony Grant spoke to the media this afternoon.  He was joined by team captain Levi Randolph and freshman guard Riley Norris.  You can hear his comments on Obasohan and Mississippi State here:
