After missing games against LSU and Mississippi State with a hand injury, junior guard Retin Obasohan is expected to rejoin the lineup for the Alabama men's basketball team as they prepare to host the Vanderbilt Commodores this Saturday at Coleman Coliseum.  Head coach Anthony Grant spoke to reporters this afternoon and indicated that he expects Obasohan to play.  There was no update on junior guard Ricky Tarrant, who continues to be listed as being out "indefinitely" due to a lower leg injury.

Obasohan's return comes as welcome news to a team that has battled injuries recently as they attempted to turn around what has been a disappointing stretch in conference play.  The Tide are 15-9 on the season but just 5-6 in the SEC.  Alabama's remaining games are very winnable though, and defeating Vanderbilt could go a long way towards righting the ship as the Tide enter the final stretch of the regular season.
