Arizona head football coach Rich Rodriguez, who nearly became Mike Shula's replacement at Alabama before Nick Saban was eventually hired, stars in a film trailer with the rest of his coaching staff promoting Wildcat football.

The coaches play the part of cowboys in a old Western Film and dress down to the bandanna and half-chewed cigar. Judging by the title 'Hard Edge', which is the name for the mental toughness Rich Rod has tried to instill in his football program, coaches needed to take a different approach to sending a message.

One thing is for sure, the message has been put out there. Let's see how it's received.

My guess is that it'll be mocked by everyone outside of the University of Arizona like all unorthodox promotional videos do. The part that's so great about this video is the ending, where the executive producer is revealed to be his wife, Rita.

Was this his wife's idea or did she just edit the video? Either way, that's going to end up backfiring. Personally, we wish her hair would have made an appearance in the trailer.
