To begin the week on The Gary Harris Show, TiderInsider.com's Rodney Orr offered his assessment of Alabama football's progress on the recruiting trail.

At the start of the recruiting discussion, Orr mentioned why fans were cautious about the 2020 recruiting cycle including the turnover among Nick Saban's assistants in the offseason.

"A lot of people, I think a lot of Alabama fans, were a little bit nervous earlier in this recruiting process, but I think a lot of them were taking a little bit of a wait-and-see kind of attitude. They felt like maybe all this coaching turnover and change might impact this recruiting class. Some were nervous that it might be a little bit like a couple of years ago." Orr said.

On the flip side, the TiderInsider.com founder sees Alabama building momentum in recruiting because of their on the defensive side of the ball.

"Think about the defensive line class that Alabama signed last year, which I think is potentially a great, great defensive line class, and I think with the linebackers that we see Alabama landing in this class and then the last two classes, the talent they've gotten in the secondary, this defensive talent in the next year or so, it's really going to start showing itself because I think Alabama is doing a tremendous job recruiting defensive players." Orr said.

Find out what Rodney Orr had to say about some of the top targets in the 2020 class including Will Anderson, Roydell Williams, Zachary Evans, Quandarrius Robinson and Demouy Kennedy.
