Thursday's forecast calls for thunderstorms, some of which could be severe. Tornadoes are possible as well as damaging winds of up to 60 MPH and quarter size hail.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham placed most of Alabama in an elevated risk area for Thursday; storms are expected to impact the state between 12 noon and 8 p.m.

These storms may bring 1/2 to 1 inch of rain; no flooding issues are expected at this time.

Following Thursday's storms, the next chance for thunderstorms will come on Easter Sunday; Tuscaloosa currently has a 70% chance of rain, but the forecast doesn't currently include severe storms.
