National Girls & Women in Sports Day is Wednesday, February 2. The recognition important to White because it teaches young girls that they are strong and independent. For White, the day reminds her to have confidence in herself, knowing she is strong and capable of overcoming challenges. Looking at all of White's accomplishments it's no doubt she has a very strong mindset and big goals for her self.

Alabama Crimson Tide junior swimmer, Rhyan White has been awarded as the SEC Female Swimmer of the Year. White was voted Female Swimmer of the Meet at the SEC Championships and also won the SEC Commissioner's Trophy due to scoring the most individual points in the meet. She is the first Alabama swimmer to be named SEC Female Swimmer of the Year.

Senior softball player for the Crimson Tide, Bailey Hemphill and senior swimmer Zane Waddell were named finalists for the SEC Roy F. Kramer Athlete of the Year Award. The award has been awarded to the top male in the conference since 1976 and top female in the conference since 1984. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, June 17. It is named in former conference commissioner Roy F. Kramer's honor, he served as head of the SEC from 1990-2002.
