After gaining a commitment from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, the Alabama Crimson Tide landed a commitment from another high school signal caller in Mac Jones from The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jones is one of 14 commits in Alabama’s 2017 signing class.

The Bolles School quarterback recapped his decision to commit to the Crimson Tide Tuesday with BamaOnline.com senior analyst Travis Reier on Southern Fried Sports.

Jones summarized the circumstances involved with his switch of commitments from Kentucky to Alabama.

He credited head coach Nick Saban and assistants Lane Kiffin and Brent Key for securing his commitment to Alabama.

Jones described how Tuscaloosa stood out against the competition during his recruiting visit.

“The first time I went I was like, ‘Wow!’ Obviously I knew I was kind of expecting what I thought of it to be fulfilled. Compared to other schools I just thought that people that are behind the scenes all the way from the janitors to some people that help out around the office buildings, those people were really nice to me. I just felt a click there and compared to other schools obviously the facilities just blow people away. The coaches obviously are top of the line too. I just felt like it was a great fit.” Jones said.
